Hi Robert. I am in the position to get a work permit and move to the Cayman Islands. everthing i need will be done in order to get me working there. My question is this : I want to bring my girlfriend over. we are not married yet, but we live together and she is my dependant. what is the requirment for her to be seen as my dependant, will she be able to travel on my Work Permit. i should be earning >50k a year.
Thanks

Under immigration law dependents can only be spouses, offspring (and occasionally parents/grandparents). Your partner would need to apply for a job (and therefore a work permit) in her own right. As a visitor che could visit for 30 days, but could visit immigration to get an extension (i believe) of up to 6 months if she could proove she can support herseld without working.
Hope this helps!
Robert
