can you tellme the average rate for a 1 bedroom apt on grand cayman?
The real estate rental market has been softening lately according to press reports. Rebuilding of many units is underway, and excess inventory can be anticipated. Still, 2 bedroom units are more popular so the excess of 1 bedroom apartments may be somewhat limited.
Rates vary a substantially across the island, with the East End being the cheapest, but the longest drive from Georgetown. Rates in East End are approximately US$ 800-1000 plus utilities.
Rates in Georgetown can be a bit more. Affordable 1 bedroom apartments are about US$1250 to $1500 and up monthly, plus utilities. Rooms can often be had in a shared housing situation for around US$1000.
More luxurious accomodations are available for significantly more.
