Question
Hi,
My husband and I want to take a caribbean vacation and we heard you can snorkel with turtles in the cayman island. My concern is that it is still being rebuilt after the last hurricane. can you give me any input on this?
Thankyou very much.

Check some of my news reports on my site at http://www.gotocayman.com
I saw one report that said that bookings for Christmas appear to be on taget to get up to pre Hurricane Ivan levels. Fortunatley Cayman missed the worst of the damage of this years hurricanes (with two weeks to go to the endof the hurricane season).
Certainly with the Ritz-Carlton scheduled to open 15th December there will be several top quality hotels to choose from. The area that is taking longer to recover is the condo rental sector; once the properties are repaird they have to be examined by a government inspector before getting their license.

Good luck!
