Question
three couples are going and we have chosen the vista concierge rooms with balconies..we have 7179, 7181, and 7183..I am concerned these are on the wrong side for our trip from Vancouver to Seward?  Am I overworrying? should I try to change them?

Answer
Hi,
This is always the dilemma when doing Alaska.  During the inside passage portion of your cruise there will be scenery on both sides, no matter which one you are on.  There are times during the cruise where you jut out into the ocean and will not see much at all wherever you are located.  There may be a trifle more scenery on the other side, HOWEVER, I would not worry about it.  When going into ports there is scenery on both sides.  A lot of cruising is done in the evening hours and you cannot see much anyway.  I would not change my cabin selection, there is not that much difference.  I was wondering if you realize that two of the rooms are connecting and the other one (7179) is not. Have a wonderful time.  Don't forget to book your excursions well in advance, the popular ones book up quickly.  We are going back to Alaska in Sept. and are doing different excursions then the last time.  Look over some of the excursions (the ones for next year will not be listed yet, but look at this year's excursions), and see which ones you think you would like.  I will let you know about the ones we did.

I have been on NCL, Princess, HAL and Celebrity Cruises, but Celebrity is our favorite line. I have traveled Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, Alaska, Canada/New England and am familiar with the beaches and places to go at these destinations. We love to cruise and I can tell you the "in`s and out`s of cruising."
