Question
Hi there,
My husband and I are taking the Celebrity cruise to Mexico (Mexican Riveria I think it is called) leaving San Francisco on Oct. 24 (our 56 anniversary). We are not that affluent and clothes are a problem for me. I have a "formal dress" that I wore once on a Carribean Cruise in Jan-it is a maroon velvet. Do you think that this would be to "wintery" to wear on this cruise in Oct? It is either this or eat in the room or buffet. What do you think? I don't want to be looked upon as the out of place person!
Thanks

Answer
Hi Joan.... well I think you will certainly enjoy your cruise aboard a Celebrity ship and the Mexican Riviera.

The dress you speak of I am sure will be ok and would NOT WORRY about what others think.....your $$$ is just as good as theirs and I am sure that you work hard for it.

You may want to go out to the stores in the upcoming weeks as there will be some Grrrrrrrrreat sales out there with discounts of up to 75% off reg. prices and could possibly add to your choices of clothing to wear while on your cruise w/out breaking the bank !

For what it's worth... on many cruises that I sail on, I do not even eat in the dining room... just because I do not want to dress up.

Congrats on your 56th anniversary... have a wonderful cruise !
