Can anyone tell me if this cabin gets much noise from the elevators,can the balcony be seen from the elevator passengers and does the above deck overhang on the balcony stop the sun reaching the veranda?

  We have never had this cabin on the Infinity but have done the cabin next to the glass elevator on the Oosterdam which in a Holland America ship.  I can only tell about our experience on this particular ship.  When the elevator goes by you can catch a quick glace at the balcony, however, most people on these elevators either face forward or are looking at the water.  Anytime you have a deck over you, you will not get the same type of sun as you do laying out on a regular deck.  I can tell you that we never heard any noise from the elevator and love this location so much we booked it again on a Holland America cruise.  I would go to the web site www.cruisecritic.com. Go the Celebrity and you will get a lot of insight into your ship. If you want to do a search, for example and put your cabin number in or "cabins next to glass elevators" then you will have to register.  It is not big deal, I hate to say it, but you don't have to give your real name, just your e-mail.  In other words you can read all of the posts on this site but cannot do a search unless you sign on.
