It's me again- but another question you mentioned the ATV tour rides, etc.- can these be taken on the one day stops we make during the cruise?

Hi Beryl,
  Yes, they ALL can be done on the one day stops.  Our ship only stopped for a certain amount of hours in each port.  I always arrange for these tours thru the ship's web site.  I find that we are more comfortable doing this and for any reason the tour was late in returning or there was a problem, they would wait for a ship sponsored tour.  One thing Beryl, I do not think that the ATV's would be for your personally, it is a very bumpy ride and I know you stated you were up in years.  I again, do recommend that some of your party do a helicopter landing on a Glacier with a short glacier trek.  For you, you may enjoy the helicoper overview without the landing.  When you land you need to wear special boots which they provide and ice cleats which they give you.  Again, for someone your age it would be quite difficult to walk around the glacier in this manner.
