Question
I am planning a cruise and would like to know whether the waters in the caribbean and the gulf of mexico are normally calm or normally shaky. It important so I would appreciate a fast response.

Answer
Hi,
It really depends on what time of year you go.  If you opt to go during hurricane season, end of Aug. thru beginning of Nov. you may hit some choppy seas. There is no guarantee at any time that you cannot hit storms or choppy seas, but usually the caribbean is calm.  My first preference would be Southern Caribbean out of San Juan for a warmer smoother sailing.  My second option would be the Eastern Caribbean, I always find the waters calmer then the Western which would include the Gulf of Mexico.  Hope this helps.

I have been on NCL, Princess, HAL and Celebrity Cruises, but Celebrity is our favorite line. I have traveled Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, Alaska, Canada/New England and am familiar with the beaches and places to go at these destinations. We love to cruise and I can tell you the "in`s and out`s of cruising."
