I have been on NCL, Princess, HAL and Celebrity Cruises, but Celebrity is our favorite line. I have traveled Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, Alaska, Canada/New England and am familiar with the beaches and places to go at these destinations. We love to cruise and I can tell you the "in`s and out`s of cruising."

Question
We are going to Florida in late Feb./early March.  I thought it would be fun to take a cruise (3-5 days) and then go back to Florida.  I have seen a Celebrity cruise going to Basseterre, St. Kitts;Bridgetown; Castries; Oranjes Aruba; San Juan.  Is this a good cruise to good places. I've never heard of some of these locations.  I read email ratings on cruises and Celebrity got the best reviews.  We want to relax, but, have a small amount of activity possibilities.  We don't want a loud roudy cruise.  I am open to all suggestions.  Thanks !!!

Answer
Hi,
Celebrity is a wonderful cruise line which offers a quiet upscale atmosphere.  We are going on our 3rd Celebrity cruise shortly.
As for the islands you mention, they are mostly located in the southern Caribbean area.  Perhaps for a first cruise you may want to try the eastern Caribbean itinerary which has stops at more familiar islands.  This itinerary usually consists of stops in islands such as St. Thomas, St. Martin, Bahamas, etc.  The western itinerary stops in ports in Mexico such as Cozumel, then usually on to Jamaica Grand Cayman, Key West and similiar stops.
As far as I know, Celebrity does not offer a 3-5 day cruise.  Most of their cruises are for 7 plus days.
You should visit Celebrity's official web site to get a feel of the different ships and itineraries.  You should also visit a REPUTABLE cruise only travel agent who could lead you to the proper ship.  Also ask your travel agent for a copy of Celebrity's 2001-2002 brochure which will tell you about all of their Caribbean cruises.
I hope this helps a little and if you have any further questions about any of their ships or ports just e-mail me.
Let me know how you make out.
