Question
Sir

Is the brahamcharya life improves Atrogen hormon in men and Estragon in women?

Thanking u sir

Answer
I presume that your are referring to the male hormone 'Testosterone' (an androgen) and the female sex hormone 'Estrogen'. The practice of correct Brahmacharya in thought, word and deed eventually leads to the production of just the right percentage of both these hormones for optimum health and well being. Neither more nor less but just the right amounts are produced.

Expertise

I can answer to the extent of my knowledge, questions concerning the practice of 'Brahmacharya', the results that follow and the means required.

Experience

I am into the practice of 'Brahmacharya' along with the study and practice of a life of 'Yoga' aimed at self-realization. My aim at volunteering here is to share with fellow readers, matters concerning self-realization/Brahmacharya to the extent of my knowledge. The term 'Yoga' is a derivative of the Samskruth verb 'Yuj' which means 'to join'. 'Yoga', also called 'Brahma vidyâ' thus signifies a mode of life that leads to the apparent union of the individual Jivâtma (embodied soul) with the Lord of the Universe - Brahman/The Almighty. Mere indulgence in 'Âsana' or physical postures is not Yoga. Âsana is only one limb or 'Anga' of Yoga. True Yoga consists of a lifestyle governed by the eight limbs viz. Yama, Niyama, Âsana, Prânâyâma, Pratyâhâra, Dhârana, Dhyâna and Samâdhi. Brahmacharya or spiritually based continence is one of the important components of 'Yama'. 'Brahmacharya':-"Brahmani charyathey ithi" - "One who has completely surrendered to Brahman, overcome the ego, and has realized himself to be a tool of the Almighty." Perfection in these eight limbs leads to establishment in 'Brahma Vidyâ' (knowledge of the Brahman) followed by merger with the Almighty.
