Celibacy/Abstinence/Can Brahmacharya bring you the help of spirits (divine or ghosts)?

For example if something go wrong in your life can you pray, invoke or make offering, so spiritual entities comes and change other people's mind to help you receive some benefits? I mean by practicing virtue or trance you connect with spiritual entities whoever they are. This is how mediums connect to them.

1. When your own mind is not under control and you lack the knowledge of who you yourself are, of what use is it in trying to influence other's minds? Such actions will only harm your well being and push you deeper into ignorance. Hence first know yourself.

2. There is only one, infinite, all powerful being of which your own Atman (self) is an inseparable part. Nothing else exists. All other so called, divine beings are powered by this infinite Superpower, which alone is worthy of worship. One's Atman is no different from this Supreme entity. Realize this truth, following which all that has to come shall come.

Questions concerning the practice of 'Brahmacharya' to know the self, & the means required are dealt with here.

The term 'Yoga' is a derivative of the Samskruth verb 'Yuj' which refers to union. 'Yoga', also called 'Brahma vidy‚' is the eternal dissolution of the individual 'Aham' (Ego) into the Atman (self) for 'Mukti' (liberation). Mere indulgence in '¬sana' or physical postures is not Yoga. ¬sana is only one limb or 'Anga' of Yoga. The eight limbs viz. Yama, Niyama, ¬sana, Pr‚n‚y‚ma, Praty‚h‚ra, Dh‚rana, Dhy‚na and Sam‚dhi are the means to Yoga. Brahmacharya or spiritually based continence is one of the important components of 'Yama'. 'Brahmacharya':- "Brahmani charyathey ithi" - "To surrender one's Ego and go with the will of the Almighty."
