Celibacy/Abstinence/Gayatri Mantra and its effects

Dear Sir

] What are the benefits of Chanting Gayatri mantra in daily life?

] Why chanting of each mantra for 108 times? or what denotes 108?

] Sir please watch this video
in this video the Yogi flies like a rocket, in which samadi state is it possible?

1. It helps overcome "Agnyana' (ignorance) and connect to the Supreme.

2. The 'Jiva' (individual consciousness) goes through 108 stages in the process of evolution and finally attains liberation. Chanting of a mantra 108 times is the symbolic representation of transgressing these stages with the final aim of liberation.

3. He who flies up or comes down does not exist in Samadhi. Let go of this useless penchant for Siddhi-s and first realize your true self which occupies all space and time and has nowhere to fly or move. The infinite universe itself is within you who has no boundaries.

ॐ तत् सत्
(That Supreme being is the absolute truth)

Questions concerning the practice of 'Brahmacharya' to know the self, & the means required are dealt with here.

The term 'Yoga' is a derivative of the Samskruth verb 'Yuj' which refers to union. 'Yoga', also called 'Brahma vidy‚' is the eternal dissolution of the individual 'Aham' (Ego) into the Atman (self) for 'Mukti' (liberation). Mere indulgence in '¬sana' or physical postures is not Yoga. ¬sana is only one limb or 'Anga' of Yoga. The eight limbs viz. Yama, Niyama, ¬sana, Pr‚n‚y‚ma, Praty‚h‚ra, Dh‚rana, Dhy‚na and Sam‚dhi are the means to Yoga. Brahmacharya or spiritually based continence is one of the important components of 'Yama'. 'Brahmacharya':- "Brahmani charyathey ithi" - "To surrender one's Ego and go with the will of the Almighty."
