Celibacy/Abstinence/Third eye and Kundalini awakening

1- Can someone awaken kundalini by concentrating on the ajna chakra (third eye)?

2- When the third eye opens after long time of practice, can you see ghosts and other beings made of chi energy?

1. Kundalini awakening takes place when the Lord decides it should occur. One cannot do anything until divine will wills so. Upon the time of such awakening, the aspirant gets the mind to meditate on the third eye.

2. Ghosts, which are astral beings cannot be seen by the physical eyes. They have an energy body but no physical body. It is possible to connect with such astral beings if one strives so by the required meditation. All this is however a waste of time and becomes an impediment in the path to the self. Hence the wise aspirant meditates on nothing but the Atman (self) with surrender to the Lord.

Questions concerning the practice of 'Brahmacharya' to know the self, & the means required are dealt with here.

The term 'Yoga' is a derivative of the Samskruth verb 'Yuj' which refers to union. 'Yoga', also called 'Brahma vidy‚' is the eternal dissolution of the individual 'Aham' (Ego) into the Atman (self) for 'Mukti' (liberation). Mere indulgence in '¬sana' or physical postures is not Yoga. ¬sana is only one limb or 'Anga' of Yoga. The eight limbs viz. Yama, Niyama, ¬sana, Pr‚n‚y‚ma, Praty‚h‚ra, Dh‚rana, Dhy‚na and Sam‚dhi are the means to Yoga. Brahmacharya or spiritually based continence is one of the important components of 'Yama'. 'Brahmacharya':- "Brahmani charyathey ithi" - "To surrender one's Ego and go with the will of the Almighty."
