Both networks use the Iden system as a form of technology. There are a few things you should take under consideration before looking at Nextel phones. First thing is the Nextel phone has to be unlocked the next thing you should take under consideration is that you will not be able to receive pictures via multi media messages until you change the settings on your phone to your local provider. I would strictly recommend for you to stay with the phones your provider is providing for you any unlocked phone from another provider can cause you some technical problems but to answer your question after the phone is unlocked you will be able to.
