Answer
Hello Cara,

To process a factory restore on motorola cell phones these are the steps you take on the main menu go to settings then under settings go to the initial setup option and in that option you will see master clear. There will be two settings master reset will reset the phone to the original settings as sent by the manufacturer and the master clear will erase all information on the phone including contacts pictures and videos and it will also restore the phone to original manufacturer settings. It will ask you for a password if I am not mistaken it will be 000000 if by any chance its not the password enter 0000 that will reboot the phone and restart the phone in about a minute or so that will clear out all the information on the phone and you are done. You can verify that the information on your phone has been erased. After verifying that the phone memory has been cleared you are set and ready to donate your phone. I hope this has helped you if you have any more questions please feel free to ask more questions. Thank you.
