Question
QUESTION: what's up? i have a couple of simple questions that i have yet to be answered. 1st question: is there any way possible to send photos on a sidekick 3 without going on the web browser? 2nd question: i recently found a way to download backgrounds on a sidekick 3 without paying for them on the download catalog, so with that being possible is there anyway that i can download or create a ringtone on the sidekick 3 without buying because i think its a waste of money? last question: relating to my 2nd question, how do i use the bluetooth on a sidekick 3 because i've tried to get ringtones from other people's phone but my sidekick would not connect. i can pair with another phone but not receive any ringtones?! thanx

ANSWER: Hello Devon,

1st Question: There is no way to send a picture without webservice. All carriers require media in order to send and receive the pictures.

2nd Question: There are a few websites that you can create ringtones on your computer and have them sent to your phone for free but again they require media (web browser access)

Last Question: The only bluetooth services offered by the T Mobile Sidekick 3 are Voice Gateway and OBEX Object Push. Meaning the only thing that you can do with your Sidekick 3’s bluetooth are listen to calls, and send a vcard.

I hope these have answered your questions. Thank you.

QUESTION: ok. i understand. thank you for ending my speculation about this phone. I've had a sidekick 3 now for a year and i had no idea that this phone was so limited, its still a cool phone tho. quick question?! is there any way possible to send a photo from the sidekick 3 to another phone instead of an email.... (i think it might be but i have no idea how). and i have an upgrade available with T-Mobile, i want to know which phone would you suggest to me to get....i've had my eye on the T-Mobile Wing and the sidekick LX... i want the usual style and features that comes with a phone but i want something that's unlike the crap phones i've had in the past i.e. kyocera. i want something that's durable and something that won't have a default or anything of that nature so i won't find myself taking it back to T-Mobile asking them to fix my phone. you've been a big help. thanx!

Answer
Hello Devon,

Unfortunately there is no other way for you to send a picture to somebodys phone that is not from your email if you want to send it to a att customer send it to there number example 7735555555@mms.att.com if you want to send it to a tmobile customers phone its 7735555555@tmomail.net that is the only way I can think of aside of using the usb cord to transfer pictures to your computer.

I love the T-mobile Wing my brother has that phone and to be honest with you I love it, I have the upgrade to that phone which is At&t's Tilt you can beam (Bluetooth) pictures ringtones full songs videos its a wonderful device. I would suggest that you actually test out both models when you get to the store they should have live versions of the phone there for you to be able to play with and the decision should be easy for you then. As far as both phones go I would suggest the T-mobile Wing though you will probably have the same problems with the Sidekick Lx which if I am not mistaken it had a recall. I hope this information was helpful to you if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Thank you.
