hi i have a tracfone w370 and it says invalid sim. what does this mean

Hello Chris,

It could mean several things the first thing it could mean is that the sim card provider you are using for this phone does not correspond meaning that they both are from two different service providers and the sim card will not function with the phone until you get the correct sim card. For example a At&t phone will not work if you put in a T-mobile sim card or a T-mobile phone will not function if you insert a At&t sim card. The second thing that it could be is that the sim card has burned out and you need a new sim card. Before you go and get a replacement sim card attempt taking out the battery of the device while the device is on and take out the sim card make sure no dust or debree is touching any of the gold contacts in back of your phone and attempt putting the phone sim card back in place and the battery this may solve your problem. The last thing that I will recommend is that you check to see if the sim card is inserted correctly and not backwards.
