QUESTION: There is a little purple arrow pointing to the left on the top of the screen on my cell.. what does it mean?? I can't find it in the manual anywhere.

ANSWER: Hello Heidi,

It could mean alot of things it could mean your phone is attempting to download a picture message and not being able to, It could also mean that the phone was on the internet or possibly synching your device to your laptop but more than likely there is a text message that was not sent and that is why you see that arrow there. It is nothing to worry about. You should be able to remove the arrow by restarting the phone if it isomethign else.
