Cellular Phones/motorola slvr l7c hacking

Question
I usually use Motorola Software Update to get my computer to recognize my phone in order to use other programs (such as P2k) to put custom ringtones on my phone.  However, recently MSU hasn't been working and won't recognize my phone or it says the "server is busy".  So, I'm wondering what other programs I could use or any other techniques to make my computer recognize my phone and allow me to hack it.  Thanks!

Answer
Hello Sarah,

Well there is a way that may be convenient and easy for you, for one the motorola sliver should have a micro card memory slot on the side of the phone. Simply remove that micro card and with an adapter you can put it into your usb port on your computer or if you have a SD slot you can slide it in there with an adapter and transfer music that way. When you take out the memory card and put it into your computer you will see it appear as a mass storage device on your pc simply open up that drive which can be E: F: or G: and place your ringtones into the folder by copying and pasting. I hope that I have been of help to you. If this method does not help you please come back and we will find another alternative method. Also attempt uninstalling the software you have now rebooting our computer and reinstalling your software this should help. Once again I hope that I have been of help. Thank you for your question.
