QuestionQUESTION: when i try to transfer certain songs to my phone i get an error message and the software tells me that i have acquired a security upgrade although according to the media player it isn't protected and i have unlimited transfer rights. is the phone assigning the tracks copyright protection and if so what can i do about it
ANSWER: Hello Dov,
If you downloaded copyrighted music it will only be able to play that file on your computer on which you downloaded it. What it aparently means by unlimited transfer rights is that you have transfer that file to your other computers via download with no hassles. If you want to play DRM music on your phone you will not be able to because your phone does not have a music player that allows it the ability to download information giving it authorization to play those files. If however you had a windows mobile phone that would be another story. Your phone isnt assigning copyright protection to the files these files must already have copyrighted protection. How are you transfering these files? Have you tried rebooting your phone and attemping again to resend? Have you sent those files to any other your other phones or friend phones to see if the phone is compatible with anybody elses? Where did you get these files from?

QUESTION: the files were ripped off a cd that i bought. i was able to transfer the to another phone (samsung juke) with no problems. i am sending the files from the Vcast music manager via a usb cable. is there some sort of patch or hack i can use to boost the phone media players ability.
AnswerHello Dov,
In order to see if the phone has any updates available you will have to either take your phone to Verizon Wireless or you can manually check the Lg website to see if there are any updates for the software on your phone. I would suggest to take the phone to your Verizon Wireless local Technician and have them inspect the phone because your music player shouldnt have any problems. Have you tried doing a master reset on your phone to reset your phones settings, maybe there is a setting on your phone that was accidentally moved or changed. I hope that I have been of help to you please contact me with any further questions. Thank you for your question.
