Question
My RAZR screen went black last night for no apparent reason. The keypad lights up but nothing happens at all. Anything I can do to salvage it until I can get a new one in a month when my contract is up?

Answer
Hello Tracy,

There is a ribbon that travels from the keyboard up through one side of the hindge to the screen in many ocassions wether the hindge has become loose it at times has damaged the ribbon causing your screen to go black. If this has been the cause there is nothing that can be done unless you have the ribbon replaced. On other ocassions the cause has simply been the screen which either has been exposed to water humidity or some type of water damage this will also be the cause of the screen not being visible. It doesnt mean that the damage was done in any immediate time soem times water damagtakes plenty of time to take its course. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
