AnswerHello Laura,
I was looking at the phone and it is a t-mobile telus or sprint phone it could really be various this now assuming the phone is not unlocked I would suggest for you to reset the phones settings in order to help you out. Now another thing that could be the problem is the phone reception in the area in which you are sending the message. The first thing we need to do is to reset the phones settings this will reset your phones settings at to when you first purchased the phone you might loose ringtones or pictures so please be advised and back them up before you do so. If this does not help you out you might need to have internet or media access on the phone. Also if this does not work you might need to contact your provider since your phone does have a one year warranty and your phone might need to be traded in for an exchange.
To reset the SPH-A840 handset, follow the steps below:
Press the left soft key for Menu.
Select Settings (9)
Select Security (5)
Enter user lock code, usually the last 4 digits of phone number
Select Reset Phone (7)
Toggle to yes, using navigation keys, to reset phone and press OK
Toggle to yes, using navigation keys, to confirm resetting phone to factory default and press OK
I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your questions.
