Cellular Phones/Unsupported file format (not .wav!)

Question I recently purchased a 2.0GB microSD card for my 8310 curve (I checked AT&T's site and I have the most current software) to handle photos and music files. Only about 10% of my music will play when I copy it to my Blackberry from the desktop application provided by Blackberry. Most songs simply say "Unsupported file format," but then other files of the same format will play?! I cannot figure out why some files will play with .wma format, etc. and some will not. Any input or suggestion is welcome.
Thanks!
Answer Hello John,
It could be that the wma files have drm which means digital rights management and blackberry does not support this feature. If you rip your own music or if you download music make sure that it does not contain drm because it will not work. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.

Thanks for the help! That explains it all - some I've ripped from my own CD's, others I've downloaded and they have DRM protection.
