Question
I bought a Blackberry pearl from a friend of mine and still have the original sim card with his info on it. The phone has no problem but I would like to have a new number. Can I buy just a new sim card and replace the one in it, or am I stuck with everybody he knows calling me?

Answer
Hello Rob,

Your number is in the sim card you actually would have to change your phone number in order to stop getting his phone calls on the phone. You see the sim card is the brain of your service it holds your service phone number and in order to stop receiving his phone calls you would need to change your phone number. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
