Question
My daughter had a party on sunday and I believe that one of her friends stole
her phone.  Is there anyway that i can get a replacement?  Also, if not can i
get a discount on another phone?  What is the process of reporting the phone
lost, and how can i see who stole the phone?  Do I have to the police to report
the phone?  What is the process of getting it replaced?  Will the information
still be on her old phone through her sim card, I reported it lost on may 19th.  
Any help is greatly appreciated..

Unfortunately there is no way to track the iphone and there is no insurance for the iphone what you will need to do is purchase a new one at the regular price. A police report will do you no good unless you find out who stole the phone and you want to bring charges to that person. Her information will still be on the phone with or without the sim card all the information on that phone is on the phone memory but since the iphone is such a hot commodity for young people it is rather easy to steal before somebody sells it or uses it themselves the handset will have to be wiped erasing all of your daughters information. Apple is selling refurbished iphone online that are just as good as the new ones with the same warranty if you are thinking about purchasing her a new one I would suggest for you to purchase her a refurbished model.
