Cellular Phones/Nokia 6133 unlocked
Expert: Roberto Serrano - 5/3/2008
QuestionHi Roberto!
Howz u?
Roberto, I have a Nokia 6133 by T-Mobile which I got unlocked for $25. but now when I install the gmail on it and run the application it says network access is not granted. When I check the options for this application then the 'access' option is disabled, I can't change access settings. I installed opera as well but again same problem, it will not connect to internet and the 'access' option is disabled.
However, when I long press '0' button, the phone does connect to internet and I can open all the websites. I can also download ringtones and wallpapers but these application won't connect.
What do you suggest I should do?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Take care!
Regards
Upinder
AnswerHello Upinder,
When you get a phone unlocked it means you can use it with any GSM carrier however just the phone has been unlocked the settings to which the phone is originally set to is still T-Mobile until you change them manually or you have to order them from T-Mobile if you still have T-Mobile or the nokia website to order from several other GSM Carriers. Now you will need to do this for internet access and also for multimedia pictures you will only be able to receive text messages and no picture messages until you change your settings
http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410019 that is the page where you can order your settings from just follow the steps carefully and you will be ok. I hope that I have answered all of your questions if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
