Question I have a Sanyo SCP-3100 through Qwest. The other night the red light that comes on when the camera is in use, came on. The following morning my phone was dead. I know it's not the battery, my husband has the same phone and I swapped my battery with his and my battery is fully charged. Any suggestions? I have pictures on my phone that can't be replaced of my husband holding our son when he was first born.
Answer Hello Kimberly,
I hope that I can be of assistance to you I know how important those pictures are. We will try some trouble shooting using your husbands phone make sure that his battery if fully charged then place the battery into your phone and attempt to restart your phone holding the red button down for about 2-3 seconds. If that does not work remove the battery and on the base of the phone you will see a circular white sticker if the sticker is any color other than white it means your phone has some type of humidity damage or water damage and the damage has pretty much caught up with the phone. What happens is that water corrodes the board and causes damage to the phone. Technicians actually use a solvet to remove the rust and oxidation and your phone is back to normal use for a temporary time. Ok now when you put the battery into the phone does the keypad light up perhaps the phone is fully functional only the lcd screen has been damaged perhaps in your purse or maybe it was dropped on accident. If after following the steps I have indicated you are still unable to get the phone started again I would suggest to take the phone to a technician they can find a way to remove your important pictures and contacts. I would suggest that you check with a technician if none of my trouble shooting tips have worked. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
