Question
QUESTION: I just bought a AT&T Go Phone (model MOTORAZR V3 GSM) and reluctantly had to buy the software for it online http://www.store.motorola.com/mot/en/US/adirect/motorola?cmd=catProductDetail

Got the software working no problem but according to the software it is not compatible with this type of cell phone ("PHONE NOT SUPPORTED").

Would you happen to know what else do I need to buy now to make this work for my cell phone? I thought I had seen my cell phone model number on the list when I purchased the software but did not read the list thoroughly and did not see it, apparently wasted $38.00, no refund! I'm unable to e-mail or phone Motorola for this problem, any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

ANSWER: Hello Mark,

Motorola phone tools does support the V3 you are doing something wrong unplug the data cable and attempt again and if you cannot connect via data cable use the bluetooth option this does require your pc to have a bluetooth adapter. Another solution would be to make sure the device driver is properly installed. If you keep having the same problems uninstall the software and the device driver reboot your pc and try again. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitat to ask. Thank you for your question.

QUESTION: No, I'm still having the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire software but same problem.

ANSWER: Hello Mark,

The data cable that you purchased did it come with the kit or did you purchase that separately becuase I believe that your problem will be the data cable can you get that exchanged.

QUESTION: I bought it separately. I am so new to this blue tooth stuff and downloading cell phones on my computer. Of course the employees at Best Buy aren't much help eother, they seemed like they were guessing even though I had 2 different floor workers. Not too knowledgable there I guess. I asked them if I had everything ready to use on the phone and they said yes. Do they usually sell both the cable and disc together? I was not aware of this and apparently neither were the employees.

Answer
Hello Mark,

They actually do sell both together in a package you can find them at your local at&t store or your local t-mobile store or any of your local cell phone stores. Best buy employees aren't really much tech savy when it comes to cell phones. What is the name of the software you purchased and where did you purchase the data cable the majority of the time the data cables will not work either they are import rejects that have not passed inspection and will not work for your phone. If you need to copy contacts from an old phone I just want to let you know that at&t does this free of charge for you. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I hope that I have been of help to you. Thank you for your question.
