Question
i bought a verizon lg 8300 cell phone from a guy and i called Verizon to see if i can change my service over to it and they said it can be done. however its locked by them saying it was reported lost or stolen.I bought it in november last year and forgot about it till i ran across it and was wondering if there was a way to unlock it.

Answer
Hello Cary,

You can get the phone unlocked however you need to verify with other CDMA companies first to see if they can use the phone with there cell phone company. Gsm phones are easier to use with unlocked phones becuase it is as easy as just inserting the sim card into the phone and your ready to go with CDMA phones since it is digitally programmed you need to verify first. To answer your question the phone can be unlocked however you need to verify first if it will be any good to you other wise it will be no good. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
