Subject: Cannot receive photos on my Razr V3

Question
Hi Debi,

I just got a refurbed Razr V3, I actually bought 2, one for me  and one for my daughter.

When my husband tried to send a photo to both of us, my daughter's phone received the photo, but my phone got a message to go to a website to retrieve it. The message said "I sent you a multimedia message. You can view my message via the Internet at viewmymessage.com using Msg ID xxxx Password xxxx

Do you have any idea this is happening?

Thanks,
Ellen

Answer
Hi Ellen -

It sounds like your daughter has MMS (picture messaging) set up on her phone and you don't. Because hers is set up, she can receive a picture message. Because you don't, the network is telling you that you have one, but you will need to go through the internet to view it. I would suggest asking your daughter if she put in the settings for MMS messaging into her phone. If she said that she didn't, then perhaps hers was already set up when she got the phone, but yours wasn't. Who is your wireless provider and do both of you have the same provider? Do you know if the phones you got were unlocked phones or if they were branded by your provider? Let me know and I will be happy to try to help you with this issue. Thanks. DebiN
