Question
I can buy a Samsung WEP500 bluetooth for about $15.00 and it seems like a good device at a good price. I would like to used it instead of my handsfree wire thing for my Razr3 while driving. What are the advantages of using bluetooth (mostly behind the wheel) and what are the pros and cons. I guess my main concerns are sound quality and reliability. Any advice will be appreciated.

Answer
Hello Dave,

They have different type of bluetooths for different type of usage. They have bluetooths that have background noise reduction, voice amplification, dual microphones. With all Bluetooth handsets the farther you get away from your device the more static you will take. The Samsung device is good product good quality when your phone is out in the open when you have your phone hidding or when you talk behind walls it tends to pick up some distortion and static also please be advised that some bluetooths pick up on static from radios at some times and this is common even for cell phones. The inexpensive Bluetooths you see on ebay are pretty much taken out of the line because either of one thing that is wrong with it either battery doesnt hold up either the speaker is damaged or something in particular. If you are to purchase and make an investment in a bluetooth please purchase from a retail store they come with warranties this way and they have exchange programs if you purchase online the majority of the time you are stuck with a bad investment. Overall the Samsung is sleek fits good in your ear however it temps to slip off when your ear gets sweaty. It has noise reduction which is very good when you are driving and very reliable. Overall it gets good reception works with the majority of the phones the battery life is 3-4 hours of talk time I know the box states more however it is incorrect. Also please be cautious with this item due to its size it is very easy to loose. The reason I state this is because I had one. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
