Cellular Phones/CECT A88 battery charging

Question
I just purchased the CECT A88.  The phone won't charge.  When I use the provided AC adapter, nothing happens.  When it's not plugged in into the phone, there's a yellow LED on.  As soon as I plug it into the phone, the LED light disappears.  N nothing happens on the phone.  When I plug it into my USB port on the computer, I get a USB power surge error.  Do you have any idea what's going on?  What color is the LED supposed to be when charging?  The phone is completely dead, so I don't see any other indication of charging.  Thank you.

Answer
Hello Nathalie,

According to what you have told me and to what Ive been told by other customers this is a known issue with the phone. My first suggestion would be to change the battery the phone comes with 2 batteries attempt charging the phone with the second battery overnight. Then attempt to restart the phone by pressing the power off button for three seconds. When your phone is charging the light should appear not the other way around. I have attempted to read through the manual that they supply but it gives no detailed information in regards to this device. My second suggestion would be to contact the company from which you purchased the phone and see what steps they can assist you in to get the phone replaced or any warranty help. It is definately a firmware issue though from what I have collected online as complaints and you will have to take the phone to a repair shop but first attempt taking the phone to the cect warranty department. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
