QUESTION: Hi, I just got the a88 a while ago and I can't figure out for the life of me how to get the internet to work. I've looked at a few of your other answers on the subject but they have not worked for me, I'm unsure if I need to be within a wireless hotspot for it to work but on my previous phone I could get it anywhere. Thank you any help would be much appreciated.

QUESTION: Actually I did already follow the steps for the data acount and wap account setup and whenever I try to even hit the homepage it tells me it's an unknown host. Also I can put the sim back to the old phone and I get the internet clear as day

Answer
Hello Ryker,

Yes you would get internet on your old phone your old phone is probably not unlocked the phone you purchased is unlocked and you need to program it to be a t-mobile phone. If you programmed the phone and you still do not get internet it may be because your phone is a triband phone that only works on one band frequency here in the united states that is limited that is probably a reason why you do not get internet access. I would suggest for you to call T-mobile and ask them if you get that frequency in your area that may be the cause. If not and if you had followed the steps I had given you I would suggest for you to contact the T-mobile technical staff it might be something wrong on there end or on your end. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your questions.
