I just hooked a different cell up after having my phone stolen, and when i activated the used phone that i was changing it to...the phone says american roaming network and that i am not registered in this area. when i took the phone to a metro store they claimed there was nothing i could do...any ideas?

Did they disconnect the phone yet, Also the phone that you had connected is it an unlocked phone or is it a Metro Pcs phone. I would suggest to perform a master reset of your settings not a master clear as this would erase all data. After doing so turn off your phone for a few minutes then turn it back on then your phone should be ready to go.
