QUESTION: Today my phone took a crap on me and it is not displaying anything. The screen is black when the phone is on. I can make outgoing calls and receive incoming calls as well. I did not save my contacts or text messages to my sims card it is all saved to the phone how do i do that without the screen being on

ANSWER: Hello Krista,

I assume that you will either get your phone exchanged through warranty or you will either get yourself a new phone. When you do that at your local service provider they have a machine that will copy your contacts for you from one phone to another. If you wanted to copy all the contacts from your phone to your pc you will need to purchase software & a data cable. The software is called Motorola Phone tools. At times when you go to the mall they have small whole in the wall cell phone shops that offer a package that includes the software and the data cable you may get lucky there. QUESTION: I was looking online at ebay and there was this software and data cable on there and I thought to myself well it is a usb port cord and my digital cam has one i wonder if i can use it so i plugged it into the phone and when I did my ipod window came up and I don't know what to do How do I go about using this to get the pics and text and numbers off the phone I already have a new phone my father who just got his gave me his cuz he barely uses it he uses it to talk to my stepmom when she is out which is rare thank god for my father anyways can you help me

I apologize but your phone requires specific software for you to put the pictures videos etc from your phone to the pc, some cameras have the same data cable as your phone but it is pointless unless you have the software. You will need Motorola phone tools in order to retreive text messages pictures videos and contacts from your phone.
