QUESTION: I just upgraded to the p168 from the T mobile Shadow. I am having some difficulty. It is a brand new phone and I have T mobile out of Alabama.

The MMS and receiving of pictures is impossible and for some reason I can not check my voice mail. I can call it but I can not figure out how to enter my password to get in. I also can't get the internet to come up. PLEASE HELP!!!!

ANSWER: Hello Kathryn,

Your will need to set up your phones internet browser settings and your phones mms settings. The reason you will need to set up your settings is because the phone is unlocked. Data Account Setup:



From the Main Menu select > Services > Data Account > GPRS

Scroll to an empty account (IE: Account 8) and select Edit

Set Account Name to T-Mobile Internet

Set APN to internet2.voicestream.com

Leave Username and Password blank

Press Done

Select Yes to Save



WAP Profile Setup:



From the Main Menu select > Services > WAP > Settings

Select Edit Profile

Scroll to an empty profile (IE: Profile 8) and select Edit Profile

Set Profile Name to T-Mobile Internet

Set Homepage to http://www.t-mobile.com

Select Data Account > GPRS > T-Mobile Internet

Set Connection Type to HTTP

Leave Proxy blank

Leave Port blank

Leave Username and Password blank

Press Done

When Prompted to Save select Yes

Scroll to T-Mobile Internet and select Activate Profile



To Access the Browser:



From the Main Menu select > Services > WAP

Select Homepage to bring up the homepage

Select Enter Address to browse other pages



To setup Picture Message (MMS)



Create Data Account



Select Menu

Select Services

Select Data Account

Select GPRS

Choose an empty profile

Account Name enter T-Mobile WAP

Press Options

Press Done

APN enter wap.voicestream.com

Press Options

Press Done

User Name <Blank>

Password <Blank>

Auth. Type choose Normal

Press Done

Press Save

Select Messages

Select MMS

Select Message Setting

Select Server Profile

Select a Profile

Select Edit Profile

Select a profile

Choose Edit Profile

Rename Profile enter T-Mobile MMS

Homepage enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

Press Options

Press Done

Data Account select GPRS

Select T-Mobile WAP

Connection Type select HTTP

Proxy Address enter 216.155.165.050

Port enter 8080

User Name <Blank>

Password <Blank>

Press Done

Activate the profile

QUESTION: How do I put in my voice mail code if I have to enter numbers?? This was the pertinent question.....

Hello Kathryn,

Im sorry I must of missed that question you will need to get your radio number from your service provider or you can enter your own cell phone number as the voicemail number. What I mean by edit it is through speed dial, if you press and hold number 1 it will give you the option to edit this option enter your radio number or enter your cell phone number. VOICEMAIL:-

Edit it--> name No.1 Voicemail enter the radio number given to you by your service provider or enter your cell phone number.
