Question My phone was lost. How can I forward my calls (and texts if possible) to another phone without actually having my handset in my possession?
Answer Hi Poncho -
Since your phone was lost, the first thing you need to do is to call your carrier and report the phone lost. They will suspend the service for you. Then, after you get another phone, they will activate your number on that new phone. If you have AT&T or T-Mobile, you will get a new SIM card and when you activate it, your number will move to that new SIM card. There is no reason to forward anything. If you had a prepaid phone, you are out of luck, but if it was post-paid, report it lost, order a new phone and when you get it, activate it. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
