Subject: MicroSD Memory Card

Question
I have a MicroSD Memory Card for my LG cell phone. I put some pictures on my memory card that I'd love to transfer to my laptop. The Memory Card came with an adapter. I put the little card into the adapter and then put it into the slot on my laptop, but my laptop won't acknowledge that it's there. What am I doing wrong? How do I get those pictures off the card and onto my computer?

Answer
Hi Chelsa -

You have to have some type of picture manager software on your PC in order to get the card recognized. If you have a HP inkjet printer, for example, it comes with software that could read the card. First, make sure you put the card in the right slot and that it lights up when you put it in. You should see something on your computer asking you what software program you want to use. If you don't, then either the card is not in the slot correctly, or you have it in the wrong slot. Make sure it is in the SD slot and that it is pushed all the way in until it lights up beside the slot in green. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
