Question I have been trying to get my Razr ready to sell and I have done a Master reset and a Master clear. However, I've been having trouble getting my phone number cleared from the phone. Is there any way for me to clear my cell phone number out of phone status>my Tel. Number and phone status>active line, because whenever I click on both of those, it still shows my cell phone number that I had on the phone. Also, when I turn the phone on, it still shows up "my phone number" and has my number. I would like to clear my phone number from this phone so I can sell it and not worry about having my cell phone number out there.
Answer Hi Tim -
As soon as you remove your SIM card from the phone, your phone number will disappear. Your phone number is on your SIM card and as long as the SIM card is in the phone, your phone number will show as the active line. Try removing your SIM card and then turning on the phone and you will see that your phone number no longer shows on the phone and it will show Insert SIM card on the display. You are good to go now on selling the phone. The SIM card needs to be removed before you sell the phone anyway, since the SIM card is your identity. Hope this helps and let me know. Thanks. DebiN
