Question I just received my new cellphone a P168C. The problem is that it doesn't detect my SIM card (its an old Cingular SIM card), I tried reseting the phone and taking the card on and off several times but nothing seems to work.
What do you think I should do?
Thanks for your time and your help
Answer Hello Javier,
The thing with this phone is that your phone is a triband phone but only one of those bands is able to work here in the United States. That frequency band is the 1900 mhz band, it happens that the particular band is not very common in alot of places here in the United States. If you are not receiving reception it could be because you are in an area that does not have the capability to that frequency. I would suggest for you to contact customer service and ask them about that particular frequency in your area they might be able to tell you. One more suggestion is that your phone should have two sim card slots have you tried your sim card in both slots. Please let me know if you have tried this. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
