QUESTION: I replaced an old phone but when I call to the house, the wrong name appears on the caller id (the kids changed it) how do I change the phones owner name so it displays the correct name when making a call.

ANSWER: Hello Kevin,

The name that should appear on the caller i.d. is the name that should appear on your billing statement. If the billing account is not under your name it probably will appear under the persons name who is in charge of the billing statement, perhaps your wifes name. If that is incorrect you will need to contact customer service so they can correct this problem. Also another question has somebody been tampering with your sim card verify to see if you have the correct sim card in your phone. If you mean that the wrong name appears on your caller i.d. and you want to edit the name that appears on your phone when you are called from your home number go into your contact book or address book find the listing press options then select edit there you will have the option to change the name number contact information picture and even ringtone assigned to your contact. Do you remember what name appears when the call is placed to your phone, now what you do is open up your contact book or your address book when you are in your address book scroll down until you find the name that appears when you call yourself from your home number. Highlight the name and press the options button, when you press the options button highlight edit and press edit, this will enable you to change any and all information belonging to the contact including address, phone number, ringtone, picture i.d., name and other information. When you are done editing the name of the contact you may press done this will save your edited information. You are now set call yourself and the information will be fixed. QUESTION: The problem is the new phone does not have the addresses from the old one - so it is not on the list.

I now know what you mean sorry for any misunderstandings. That will require you to take your phone to your local cell phone provider. Please take your old cell phone and your new cell phone they will run your old cell phone through a phone & sim reader so they can make sure all of your old address book and contacts are transfered over to your new phone. There is no fee for this transfer it is part of a free service that your cell phone provider offers you. I do apologize about the misunderstanding this will clear out any type of problem you have.
