Question Help !!
I have a Palm Treo 680 (damaged lcd screen), and have hot synched my address book to a palm file on my laptop.
Question: I bought an LG Shine phone, and a data cable, and was told by the ATT store rep that I could xfer my Palm Treo address/phone list from the laptop to the LG Shine via the cable. I downloaded the cable software per the instructions, but have absolutely no idea as to the procedure for capturing the address file (or anything else from the laptop), and getting that info to my Shine.
Can you provide any solution to this dilemma?
Thank you sooooo much for any assistance.

Answer Hi Rich -
It's unfortunate that the rep only told you part of the story and that is probably because they didn't really understand the situation. The Palm file is not compatible with anything except a Palm, so there isn't any way for the Shine to read the Palm file no matter what you do. If you purchased software for your Shine and that software has a conversion program, then the Palm file could be converted so that the Shine could read it, but I can already tell you that isn't possible.
Since you have AT&T, what you really should do is take the Palm to the AT&T store and ask them to move your contacts from the Palm to the Shine. They will do this for you, at no charge, as a service to their customer. I'm very surprised that they didn't offer to do this for you. They have tools to do this. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
