Question
QUESTION: My CU515 recognizes the memory card, but the AT&T music player on the phone won't. This is the first time I've had a problem with it...it happened right after I took the card out and put more music on it from my PC. How do I get the music library of the AT&t music player on my CU515 to recognize the songs on the SD card?

ANSWER: Hello Dan,

What type of music are you attempting to put onto your memory card your music player only plays mp3 and wma files. Every file needs to be Mp3 or Wma another suggestion is to not use DRM protected files as your phone will not recognize the files I believe that this is where the issue lies. Please make sure you are not using DRM files and you will see that these files will play for you. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.

QUESTION: They are all mp3's and wma's. I made sure of that...and I made sure that they were not DRM protected. When I had the memory card in there from the beginning, everything I put on it would also be automatically detected in the AT&T music player library. But recently, I took out the memory card (for the first) and put more mp3's and wma's on it using my laptop. While I had the memory card out, I powered on the phone to see if it recognized the memory card was gone (it did). And it automatically updated the music player library accordingly. Now, even with the memory card back in, there's still no listing of the music files in the library (just like it was when I had the memory card out).

Answer
Hello Dan,

LG you need to have a name brand memory card because there have been known issues with generic memory cards. Attempt to reformat the memory card if you keep experiencing this problem to see if this can fix your problem. Have you by any chance tried inserting another card into your phone to see if it detects it, if it does not that means that your phone firmware or hardware on the phone might be corrupt or damaged. If that is the case you can contact at&t warranty and they can exchange the phone for you, at&t warranty 800-801-1101 I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
