Question
I was told that you could flash a phone to work with metro pcs service even if it was from another company like (verizon or sprint). Then I was told that it is possible to do...but the features of that phone won't work (like using the web or pic messaging). If thats true then why would you flash it in the first place...Is my information correct? Let me know before I by a used Palm treo 650 for my metro service.

Answer
Hello Elizabeth,

This information is correct you do need to find a person that can flash the hardware that will be the hard part. At first the features such as internet and picture messaging would not work but that is just a matter of changing your phones settings to match those of your current provider which would take about 15 minutes or so to configure. The reason why people do this is because they are not content with there providers line of phones and want something different such as phones that another carrier carries and does not plan to carry in the future. I hope that I have been of help to you if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your question.
