Cellular Phones/Blackberry 8700c

Question
I just purchased an unlocked 8700c blackberry. I turned the phone on, and a window popped up which looks like a menu with a slash through it and a 543 underneath it. I have no idea how to begin using my phone. Any suggestions?

Answer
Danielle, not sure where you purchased your phone, but look at getting a different one from them.  return that one and get another.  What is wrong is somewhere the software on the blackberry has failed during the boot up process.  attempting to fix it can be time consuming and troublesome.  I would look to return it...bottom line.  if you choose to try and fix it let me know and i will tell you how, but that's a possibility not a guarantee. hope this helps
