Question
Hi, I recently bought an unlocked cell phone from a seller on EBAY. When I received the phone the MSN number on the phone and the MSN number on the box were different. the IMEI number were the same. When I contacted the seller they said that it was no big deal. When I contacted the manufacturer they said they should be the same. Who is right? What is the importance of the MSN number on a Motorola cell phone? Am I getting scammed? Thanks!
Brooke, if the seller didn't say the phone was brand new, you may not be able to do much. MSN is the (Mobile Serial Number), the IMEI is the (International Mobile Equipment Identifier). Depending on what network you want to use it on will depend on which number the carrier needs. If the phone is working fine, you should have no problem. Hope this helps.
