Question
my palm treo wont power up correctly. ive tried to restart it but that has no effect. could the battery be the problem? phone does the exact thing with or with out battery while hooked to charger
first thing you want to do is what's called a soft reset. remove the battery door, but not the battery. take your stylus and look for a button right beside the battery. if you are holding the phone with the attenna upward, the reset button is to the left of the battery. if that doesn't fix your issue then, i would assume you have the software installed onto your computer that you got in the box. if not, download it from palms website. if you have then you should've been promted to backup your phone. if so, then you need to plug your phone into the computer and restore it via the program that came with the phone. they vary, but you should easily find a restore button or menu option.
