hi i have an blackberry pearl 8100. the problem i am encountering is i am unable to copy my sim card number to my address book i went through the whole thing of going into add book and copy sim  card number but it shows status and copying but when i go into the address book the whole thing is blank. i dont know why its doing this bc previously i did have numbers in the add book and when i changed the sim card i have encountered this problem....the phone wont even store any new address i save it and everything but still doesnt showin address book. i dont know what to do an its very frustrating

kathleen, you may be experiencing 2 different problems.  your phonebook was probably stored on your old phone and not the sim card, or it wasn't transferred properly.  secondly, make sure you don't have the address book settings set in such a way that it's not looking at all of them.  the blackberry can be filtering your address book and therefore not letting you see it.  as far as it not storing a new address, i would say that there's something wrong with your phone or the software on it.  How old is the phone? may still be under warranty.
