Answer
Pushkar, when a phone is said to have liquid damage the warranty will no longer apply.  Even if you get a representative that will take care of it, once they open the phone they will see the water damage and charge you the full cost of the replacement phone.  There are liquid indicators on the phone and inside the phone.  You could remove them, but then that voids the warranty right away.  So forget about the warranty.  How long ago did the phone get wet? If it's only been a short amount of time, take the battery off the phone and put the phone in a bowl of rice. This method is said to work with a great deal of success.  Leave it in the bowl for a few days, then see if it works again.  You may just need to purchase a battery for the phone.  All of this depends greatly on how wet the phone got.  Was it completely submerged in water or just get a little wet? Anyway give it a try. Hope this helps.
