Question
My wife and I are with Verizon and after reading figured out they use this cdma.  Well, at the 'new at 2' I got a new phone.  My old phone is the Motorola K1M.  Also my wife's.  Well she has not been kind to her K1M, dropping it many times.  She wants to use my phone.  Is there a way the average user can do this since we have all the information from her old phone?  I have no idea how it works but both phones are with verizon, even same account, just want my old phone to use her number.  Thanks in advance.

Answer
All you have to do is to contact Verizon and tell them that you would like to activate your old phone with her number. If you are the account holder that both phones are a part of, you will be able to do this. It requires Verizon to activate the phones since CDMA phones are activated via the carrier. Just call them, tell them that your wife has broken her phone and you want her to use your old phone. They will ask the ESN number of the old phone and then can do this for you. I hope this helps.
